About
Suppliers vs. Labs
Suppliers are the sources selling the compounds — pharmacies, resellers, homebrewers. These are the entities being tested. Each supplier receives a status rating.
Labs are the independent analytical laboratories that perform the actual chromatograph testing. They are listed for transparency about who ran each test, but are not themselves being rated.
How It Works
Samples of a supplier's product are submitted to an independent lab for HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) testing. The lab produces a chromatograph showing the compound's composition and concentration.
Results are recorded as mg/mL values with an assay percentage calculated from the expected vs. actual concentration. An assay of 100% means the sample exactly matches its labeled concentration. The supplier's status is updated based on test consistency over time.
Vendor Status System
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| VERIFIED | Long track record of accurate, consistent test results |
| COMMUNITY TRUSTED | Trusted by the community based on consistent results |
| TESTING | Currently being evaluated with a limited sample size |
| NEW | Recently added, awaiting first verification tests |
| UNVERIFIED | Not yet tested by any verified lab |
| PARTIAL | Mixed results — verified for some products but not others |
| CAUTION | Inconsistent results reported — verify each batch |
| SUSPENDED | Temporarily suspended pending investigation |
| INACTIVE | No longer operating or accepting orders |
| BLACKLISTED | Known to produce under-dosed or fraudulent product |
